Experts in creating high-load systems begin designing a new global network infrastructure.
The initial backbone network consists of 7 data centers located in 6 cities (Ashburn, Munich, Novosibirsk, Moscow, Seoul, Singapore).
The network grows to 23 data centers. This infrastructure is awarded a Guinness World Record for most simultaneous online players on a single MOG server (190,541 people). The company is based in Vienna.
The content delivery network sets another record by sustaining a load of 1,114,000 simultaneous players.
G-Core Labs moves to Luxembourg. At the new headquarters, fully featured IaaS products are prepared for release.
G-Core Labs acquires SkyparkCDN. According to the results of independent tests by cedexis.com, the extended content delivery network shows the best CDN performance.
New products are released.
DDoS Protection — global protection against DDoS attacks for websites, applications, and servers.
Storage — cloud storage locations in Amsterdam, Miami, and Singapore.
The network grows to 41 locations on 4 continents. The total number of data centers is increased to 44 while the number of servers grows to 84.
The company employs 130+ people.
Streaming Platform is launched as an all-in-one solution for uninterrupted video broadcasting around the world. Transcoding, CDN, storage, and cross-platform player are combined into the same platform for easy delivery and monetization of any online entertainment.
G-Core Labs opens its first PoP in São Paulo in Latin America.
CDN and hosting are launched in Johannesburg. For the first time, the network covers all continents except Antarctica.
G-Core Labs launches its own Cloud.
The QA Center, which specializes in assuring the quality of video games, is opened. The company employs 200+ people.
The long-awaited cloud services are launched: Load Balancers, AI Platform, Bare Metal, and Marketplace.
Multifunctional service for video calls is released.
G-Core Labs start offering grants to startups, collocation services, and one of the fastest DNS hosting services in the world.
We continue to grow rapidly: at the end of 2020, the company already employs over 300 people.
Peering. In 2021, we are already present in over 100 traffic exchange points around the world and are among the top 10 global networks in terms of the of direct number of peer-to-peer connections.
CDN with web protection. To protect our clients not only from attacks on the server, but also at the web application level, we integrate basic web protection into the CDN control panel that works according to the WAF principle.
Terraform. For the first time, we present our own Terraform provider that can be used to manage our cloud, as well as CDN and DNS. It successfully passes the HashiCorp test and is included in the list of verified Terraform Registry providers.
HESP. We will join the HESP Alliance in September. This means that our CDN is starting to support the HESP protocol, and our clients can organize broadcasts with minimal delays for millions of viewers worldwide.
Intel SGX. We are integrating Intel SGX into our instances so that our customers can collect and store critical data with us.
PCI DSS. Our Cloud has been successfully certified for compliance with PCI DSS 3.2.1.
Managed Kubernetes. We are officially introducing the long-awaited Kubernetes service for automating container management, scaling, and updating.
We are continuing to grow. Currently, at the end of 2021, the company employs more than 400 people.
After opening new locations and developing the existing ones, we have over 140 points of presence, including more than 15 unique cloud locations, and over 25 data centers with servers available for order around the world.
