How to integrate a WordPress website with CDN

Any WordPress website can be easily integrated with our CDN.

We added the first manuals on connecting three third-party WordPress plugins to our knowledge base in 2017. Some of our clients found the plugins to be of use to them, while others expected more flexible configuration. We’ve analyzed all the requests and created our own plugin.

How to install the plugin

Go to your WordPress administration panel and select Plugins > Add new. In the plugin search field, enter “G-Core Labs CDN”. Install the found plugin.

To activate the plugin, click Activate or go to Plugins > Installed.

How does it work?

If the content is to be distributed via CDN, your domain name in the URL will be replaced with the personal domain that you specified in the General section.

Request processing logic:

  • Is the URL from which the content is requested specified in the Exceptions section? If true, the domain name is not replaced and the file is distributed as usual. If false or no exception is specified, check the following rule.
  • Is the content in the folder specified in the Folders section? If false, the domain name is not replaced and the file is distributed as usual. If true or no folder is specified, check the following rule.
  • Is the extension included in the list of extensions for which the URL is changed? If false, the domain name is not replaced and the file is distributed as usual. If true, the personal CDN domain is used.
