Procurement Specialist

We are looking for a procurement specialist to support our team.

What you will do:
  • Source, negotiate and purchase HW, SW and services for data centers and/or supplies necessary for operation of the organization
  • Compile, analyze and benchmark statistical vs. actual market data to determine feasibility of buying products/services and to establish price objectives
  • Remain current with market trends through relationships with suppliers and market experts; identifying new technologies and solutions to key problems in the systems area
  • Negotiate with suppliers, data centers and carriers and analyze their operations to determine factors that affect prices and lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules
  • Review proposals, negotiate prices, select or recommend suppliers, analyze trends, follow up orders placed, verify delivery, approve payment, and maintain necessary records
  • Work with other members of the procurement team to develop and implement P2P initiatives to reduce transaction costs, consolidate volume and create efficiency
  • Implement and monitor compliance to procurement policies
  • Directly contribute to the procurement cost savings goal through process efficiency
  • Identify compliance gaps, technology and process improvement opportunities
  • Manage a local warehouse and organize shipments of needed HW to other locations
Required Skills:
  • University degree
  • 4–6 years of experience in procurement or supply chain function (preferably in IT / data center industry)
  • Fluent/business proficient in English and Russian
  • Experience in IT logistics is a plus

  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience of dealing with both internal and external customers/suppliers at all levels
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels to manage expectations and push back where appropriate
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities effectively and accurately, anticipating problems, managing expectations, resolving issues and identifying solutions
  • Strong detail orientation and cost reduction / process improvement focus
  • Ability to demonstrate patience and perseverance during setbacks and challenges
  • Computer literacy, experience with Microsoft packages (including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Previous procurement experience
  • Contract and price negotiation experience
