Senior Accountant

General & Administrative
What you will do:
  • Manage an accounting team (2-3 Full Time employees) in Luxembourg
  • Preparation of Annual Accounts under LUX GAAP, disclosures and related support for the company's external reporting obligations
  • Preparation and timely filing of the management, statutory and tax accounting and reports (including VAT Reports and Intrastat
  • Assist with the design and maintenance of the accounting system
  • Ensure that the internal control environment relating to financial processes operates effectively and in line with the internal procedures
  • Ensure that general ledger balances are correctly maintained and that reconciliation processes are appropriately performed
  • Contact point for the internal/external audit for accounting matters
  • Ensure all relevant documentation for audit purposes is maintained by the various stakeholders
  • Engage relevant internal stakeholders for non-accounting matters
  • Ensure exhaustiveness, integrity and accuracy of all the transactions across the various systems. Identify issues, perform reconciliations, and propose perennial solutions
  • Support in the periodical Forecasting and Planning activities
  • Propose Improvement in finance processes and procedures and related documentation
  • Be involved in the improvement of internal controls of the accounting department
  • Provide guidance and review on junior staff's work
Required Skills:
  • Relevant university degree in the field of finance or accounting and 4-6 years of experience in a similar role
  • Hands-on experience in bookkeeping, invoicing/billing
  • Experience and interest in project management is an advantage
  • Experience of regular reporting to HQ on Finance accounting and management accounting is a strong asset
  • Good knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures under LUX GAAP and IFRS
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end closing process
  • Excellent IT literacy skills
  • SAP knowledge is a must
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, adept at building relationships across European businesses, international company and with internal and external partners
  • Rigorous and organized
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in both French and English. Russian is an advantage
